Musa Pacta participates in launching project VIE/039 in Thua Thien – Hue with a budget of 2 million Euros funded by the Government of Luxembourg and the Government of Vietnam

The People’s Committee of Thua Thien – Hue province and the Luxembourg Development Cooperation Agency on December 19 held a launching ceremony for two major projects with a total budget of 12 million USD. The projects aim to enhance the ability of local authorities and people to adapt to climate change.

In particular, the Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Project in Thua Thien – Hue Province (VIE/301) will be implemented from 2025 – 2029, with a budget of 10 million USD. The project is co-funded by the Green Climate Fund, the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Climate and Biodiversity of Luxembourg and the Government of Vietnam. The main objectives of the project are to establish an effective early warning system for local people and authorities, integrate climate adaptation into local development plans, restore coastal forests, strengthen sustainable value chains, and access comprehensive finance.

The Financing for Resilience, Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Access to Finance in Thua Thien Hue Province (VIE/039) project will run for two years, 2025-2026, with a budget of over USD 2 million, funded by the Government of Luxembourg and the Government of Vietnam. The project focuses on promoting climate-smart agriculture, increasing access to finance for farmers and small businesses, especially women and vulnerable groups, improving market access and strengthening public-private partnerships. Through cooperation with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, the project will enhance capacity for climate-smart agricultural finance and support inclusive economic growth.
